Angus Rodger, General Manager, Abu Dhabi and John Bright, Operations Director have contributed a joint piece to Oil & Gas News Magazine, based in the Arabian Gulf, for its ADNOC Review issue, exploring how our service template in the UAE reflects the wider strategy in the country around production optimisation and a gradual transition towards alternative energy sources.

In the feature interview, Angus and John speak about the addition of electrical engineering expertise to our Abu Dhabi team (with the ability to work in hazardous areas) and how that has broadened our already impressive portfolio of skills. Stuart Harvey, our Digital Innovation Manager, was a participant in a discussion panel hosted by OGV Energy late last month, entitled “Digital Transformation”.

This fascinating event covered a lot of ground regarding the current and future role of digital technology in the energy sector and how strategies are gradually evolving to incorporate it.

The group explored what “digital transformation” really means, some of the challenges around genuine integration of digital technology within organisations and what “emerging tech” is coming through to change the way we currently work.

Last month our General Manager, Abu Dhabi, Angus Rodger participated in a Business Breakfast panel at the Aloft Hotel in the UAE capital on the sidelines of the ADIPEC Exhibition, hosted by OGV Energy and moderated by Arindam Das, Group Head of Consulting at Westwood Global Energy Group.

The discussion was entitled “Energy Evolution” and touched on a wide range of topics from the industry landscape in the Middle East, and its future likely trends, through to more general observations on the Energy Transition.

ADIPEC Review – Angus Rodger, our General Manager, Abu Dhabi caught up with UAE based Energy Connects on the sidelines of the ADIPEC exhibition last month for a wide-ranging video interview which included looking at the factors behind our growing presence and footprint across the Arabian Gulf.

Angus talks about how his Middle East team has widened its portfolio of expertise and offerings this year, with the integration of electrical engineering services and the supply of Ex certified equipment. Angus also gives his take on the importance of remote condition monitoring and Proserv’s exciting, and proactive, plans in the offshore wind sector.

Last month, OGUK published its latest Economic Report, offering a detailed insight into the UK’s changing energy landscape through 2021 and the paths taken to achieve Net Zero.

As part of the document, Proserv is delighted to have provided a Case Study explaining the background to our recent company-wide ESG strategy work and how our future roadmap and commitments have taken shape as we aim to acheive net zero by 2050 or sooner.
